Confidentiality and Health Website Ethics

PICS Inc. welcomes you to its SleepKey website! PICS respects your privacy and your desire to access health-related information that is clear, accurate, and unbiased. The SleepKey website was designed to be consistent with the current ethical standards for health-related web sites including Health on the Net (HON), eHealth, and Hi-Ethics. The SleepKey website is also consistent with the privacy regulations contained in the Health Insurance Portability and Information Act (HIPAA).

Collection of Information

PICS, Inc., gathers certain information about you from your visit to our web site, and what we do with that information depends on what you do when you are visiting the site. Unless you register and create a profile, send us an e-mail, or use chat rooms and forums or other products and services that are or will be available on our web site, we collect and store only the following information with the goal of improving the content and services offered on our web site:

User understands and agrees that PICS  or authorized third parties  may use cookies, web beacons and/or other technologies to collect non-personally identifiable data (the "Non-PII")  from visitors to our sites. The Non-PII may include, without limitation, information such as a web surfer's IP address, web pages viewed by a web surfer, date and time, domain type, and responses by user to an advertisement. User understands and agrees that PICS  or its authorized third parties may use the Non-PII to serve advertisements at other websites.

If you do register and create a profile, create a user name and password, send us an e-mail, or use the chat rooms and forums or other products and services that are or will be available on our web site, or otherwise voluntarily submit personally identifiable information to PICS, we will collect and store the information you enter. PICS personnel may use this information to contact you for suggestions to improve the site, or to email you information that you have or additional information that PICS believes may be of interest to you.

PICS maintains the data collected in an electronic database. PICS or its agents may exchange such information with each other or with you over the Internet or intranet systems for the purposes of carrying out the services described in this Policy. PICS  and its authorized third parties   have the right to use and disclose non-personally identifiable data for the following purposes: (i) for general reporting purposes, including the compilation of statistics, such as the total number of ads delivered; (ii) for scheduling and optimization of delivery of  advertisements and other creative content.
